Podcast hosting company, Blubrry, is partnering with SourceAudio to provide a music subscription service and or single track buyout for podcasters.
Starting at just $9 a month, users will have unlimited access to music, sound design, and special effects for a single podcast show. Users will have unlimited use of the music in their show with a license that covers all the important aspects of music licensing.
For track buyouts, users can pay a one time fee and have a lifetime license for use in their podcast but will have a smaller selection to choose from in comparison to the subscription service.
I am glad that more and more companies are providing partnerships such as this. It makes it easier for podcasters to legally find music for their podcast. And if you are creating an audio-drama, you now have another location to get access to thousands of sound effects. Or you could just create your own.
